Your Voice
The most important aspect of Web writing -- more important than the concise bullets, the punchy headlines, the short paragraphs -- is finding your unique voice. It’s that precious aspect of your writing that allows your Web site to stand out from the billions floating through cyber space. It's being able to imprint a stylistic signature that grabs readers, pulls them in, and, most importantly, keeps them coming back. Every successful blog or Web site has it. And every successful writer has it. It's not easy to find; you will need to develop it overtime. But once you have it, once you can identify it as your own, it never leaves you and only grows stronger.
While this may seem painfully overt, too many writers still favor cold steel concreteness over distinctiveness.
